How to push start you car

If your car won���t start when the car ignition key is turned on due to weak battery and no other car can be used to jump start your car engine then the only option left is to push start your car.

But not all cars can be push start and this you must remember, automatic transmission models cannot be started by pushing, if you do it will cause damage to your car transmission.
Only cars with manual transmission can be push start, but how you it depends on the type of engine.
How to push start your car
For gasoline engine with manual transmission
Step 1: You have to turn the ignition key to ���ON��� position.
Step 2: Hold the clutch pedal fully depressed and shift into a second or third gear.
Step 3: Hold the accelerator pedal half way depressed.
Step 4: Start pushing until the car speed reaches 16 km/h or 10 mph and slowly release the clutch pedal to start the engine
For diesel engine with manual transmission
Step 1: Turn the ignition key to the ���OFF��� position, take note of the "OFF" position not lock position
Step 2: Hold the clutch pedal fully depressed and shift into a second or third gear
Step 3: Hold the accelerator pedal fully depressed
Step 4: Star pushing the car speed reaches 16 km/h or 10 mph then turn the ignition key to ���ON��� position and slowly release the clutch pedal to start the engine
Always remember, do not push start your car if the transmission is automatic it can cause damage to your transmission.
