Clutch Pedal Vibrates When Depressed
Auto Diagnose Trouble symptoms: While driving and you depressed your clutch pedal to shift a gear, you can feel vibration on the pedal.
Auto Diagnose Caused: This kind of problem is very difficult to determine what the exact cause is not unless the transmission assembly is opened. However, based on the actual experience the most common causes are Loose Clutch Disc, Pressure Plate, or Flywheel.
Auto Diagnose: All possible causes are connected to each other. Flywheel is a round metal that is connected to the engine crankshaft thus when the engine runs, flywheel turns. While you are driving your car, the pressure plate is pressing the clutch disc along the flywheel which allowing the transfer of engine power to the transmission. By pressing the clutch pedal the clutch is release, as the clutch is release any looseness on the three parts mentioned could cause wobbling of the parts that can then transfers to the clutch pedal which you can be felt.
Auto Specialist Advice: Bring your car to a reputable auto repair shop and ask to mechanic to check your car transmission assembly, a transmission teardown is necessary to determined the exact cause of the problem and such work is very expensive. However if your car is under warranty you can save a lot. This kind of problem shouldn’t be ignored because it can get worse and may result in a more expensive repair works.
