The first thing to do is to bring the car to a reputable auto repair shop that specialize on transmission works, ask the mechanic to check the transmission, initially ask the mechanic if the bands can be adjusted, if so then have them adjust, this can solve the problem for the meantime as long as the band’s lining hasn’t worn too much. If adjustment is not possible then it can cost you a lot to repair the transmission, the transmission in needed to be opened up to determine the exact cause of the problem, it is impossible to pinpoint the problem without opening the transmission, just hope that the car is under warranty or else it can ripped your pocket.
