While shifting in two or more gears noise occurs.

When noise is heard while shifting into two or more gears occur this only indicates problem inside the transmission assembly. Usually this is an indication of problem involving parts that is rotating, with that said the possible problem is the input shaft bearings or the main shaft bearings since this is the only parts that rotates at all times. This is just a possibility, we can only determine the exact cause of the problem if the actual transmission is opened up and inspected.

How to Fix Noise When Shifting
Bring the car to a reputable car shop that specialized in manual transmission and ask the auto mechanic to inspect the transmission assembly. Probably the mechanic will opened up the transmission to determine the exact cause of the problem. This is a costly repair so be sure to find a shop that does a good job in transmission assembly.

  1. Also, check the Transmission fluid. By running the vehicle till it reaches operating temperature, Operating the shift lever through PRNDL , Parked on a level surface, with the engine running in park. Check your fluid,add as needed. It sounds as if the fluid level may be low. Lastly, check the oil level sensor as well.
